Yesterday morning on the Joe Scarborough show a panel consisting of equal parts journalists and McCain surrogates were doing the postmortem on Palin's speech. When Time Magazine columnist Jay Carney asked campaign senior staffer Nicole Wallace when exactly we would all find out whether Sarah Palin is up to the job of answering questions from the press, Wallace's reply was: Who cares?

To which The Key Grip says, gosh: thanks for letting me off the hook from having to decide for myself whether she's ready to be Vice President or not. Very thoughtful of you, Ms. Wallace; I guess I'll go back to bed, now.
